Alex Moran is a seasoned Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu blackbelt, having dedicated over 15 years to the art since beginning his journey at the age of 18. Starting under the tutelage of ADCC gold medalist and Jiu-Jitsu legend Pablo Popovitch, Alex quickly made a name for himself by competing consistently through every belt level and continuing his success at blackbelt.
What sets Alex apart is his relentless drive to constantly challenge himself at the highest levels of competition. Over the years, his goals have evolved, but his core mission remains unchanged: to compete at the pinnacle of Jiu-Jitsu and share the transformative power of the art with as many people as possible. Alex firmly believes that Jiu-Jitsu has the potential to be a positive force in anyone’s life, just as it has been in his own.
His signature submission is the Rear-Naked Choke (RNC), and with an astounding 99% back attack finish rate, Alex has become known for his dominance from this position in both submission-only and traditional ruleset competitions.
